Port Possibilities Up To Expectations
An interim report on investigations into the Whakatane harbour scheme presented to the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce says engineers are satisfied, after soundings and drift tests, that conditions outside the river mouth off ,Kohi Point are even better than Messrs C. H. Brebner and A. E. Shaw first thought. It was also reported to tile Chamber that a consulting engineer and the engineer of the Napier Harbour Board have accepted an invitation to come here shortly and make an inspection.
