Circus Departs
Thursday morning groups of children on their way to school waved au revoir to Barton’s Circus wagons, heading out of town' for Te Teko, where the circhs showed last night. Wednesday’s performances here were as well patronised as the first night, but there was some disappointment that Beryl Riley, the show’s star horsewoman, was forbidden by her doctor to ride the wonder horse, Paint, in his stunt jumping acts. Latest information is that the star, though “grounded” for some days through illness should soon be fit enough to get back in the saddle. 1
