POLITICAL PROPAGANDA
Sir, —Your correspondent, 'Elector' argues that 'Blot Out' printed on blotting paper is to 'destroy' whilst 'Wondering Willie's' agile mind says that to 'Blot out' is to 'eliminate'. Neither would find a dictionary to Support their views. Nor could it be contended that to 'jam' and to 'blot out' mean the same, thing, yet in 1935 the Tories were alleged to have jammed an opposition radio station and blotted themselves out in the process! Yours etc., ANOTHER ELECTOR (No Not a 'Wondering Willie')
