Return Of Power Circulars Wanted
Until all the circulars that were issued by the Whakatane Borough Council some time ago, asking power consumers to fill in the details of their electricity fittings, are returned Whakatane has no earthly chance of getting an increased power, alocation, the town clerk, Mr L. D. Lovelock, said on Tuesday. All the details on the circulars were wanted now so' that a strong case could be prepared and placed before the power rationing committee, which is to sit this month. Mr Lovelock said that all the circulars should be returned "by the end of this week so that all electrical appliances now in use at Whakatan ecould be noted.
