RATIMA, ■ , 227 Sec., Poroporo. ■ THE AUCKLAND WOOLBROKERS’ ASSOCIATION / ' j'• N ■ / / / * OVERWEIGHT BALES -V> The attention of Growers is particuarly drawn to the Wool Packing Order 1948, which makes it an of- ... fence to pack bales weighing over 4001bs, except in the case of Bellies, Pieces and Locks, where the maximum weight is 4501b5. A considerable number of over- , weight bales have already been received by Brokers this season and as such bales cannot be considered to be in a “shipable condition” it has become necessary for Brokers, to reduce these bales to the regulation weights. A special charge will have to be made to the Grower for each bale so handled and ithe surplus wool will be binned and will carry the usual bining charge.
To avoid inconvenience and expense to / themselves, Growers should make certain that all bales are within the regulation weight limits before despatching them to Brokers Stores. J.'E.
