Governor-General On Fishing Holiday
On his annual trout fishing holiday the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, arrived at Taneatua on Tuesday in the vice regal carriage and will remain in the district for about two weeks. During his stay in this part of the Bay of Plenty ' the Governor will fish a number of local rivers accompanied by the district ranger, Mr K. Francis. He will live in the vice regal carriage, which is at present parked on a railway siding at the Taneatua station.
