Monthly Meeting Of Thornton W.I. Held
A very pleasant monthly meeting was held in the Thornton Hall by the. Thornton Women’s Institute, Mrs M. Branch presiding. A penny International fund was well subscribed to, as also was the monthly competition. A very interesting demonstration of feather spray making was given by Mrs McQueen. Competition results: Sand pdsy, Mrs T. Mexted 1, Mrs M. Tooke 2; machine made apron, Mrs W. Law 1, Mrs Mexted 2; best vegetable, Mrs Carson 1, Mrs Tooke 2; best flower, Mrs Gardner 1, Mrs Robb 2.
