LARGE CROWD AT WAIMANA SCHOOL ANNUAL BALL
The Waimana Hall presented a colourful scene when over one hundred children appeared in fancy i-. costume for the annual Waimana k school ball. The programme:— Grand March. Folk dance “The Little Hands” (Primers), “Sing a Song of Sixpence” (Juniors), “The Butterfly” (Seniors), “Loopy Loo” (Primers and tiny tots). Poi (B. McLean, A. Mika, D. Huriwai, P. Putiki), action canoe poi, (B. McLean' A. Mika, R. Huriwai, P. Putiki), hula (P. Collier and K. Waahia). Folk dance “Show Fly” (Prim.“Jenny Crack Corn” (Junior's L* “Hunsden Dance” (Seniors). Gay Gordons (Seniors). Bfefore supper Mr Potter, the headmaster, thanked all those who had worked so hard to make the evening a success. Special mention was made of Mrs Murphy Ipo, who had trainee? the girls for the Maori items.
