Prohibition Order Flouted
A fine of £2 (costs 15/-) was imposed on Kennedy Lawson, motor driver, Whakatane, in the Whakatane Magistrate’s Court yesterday for procuring liquor when he was a person against whom a prohibition order had been issued. Although he. had a prohibition order issued against him also Peter Wano, sawmill hand, Paroa, entered licensed premises on September 9 and was fined £1 (costs 15/-). Two similar charges were brought against Riri Whenua Kuaha, labourer, who was fined £4 (costs £1 12/-).
