Although he did not hold a license permitting him to sell any liquor Samuel Marsden Hawkins (Mr Suckling) billiard room proprietor, Edgecumbe, sold one dozen bottles of beer to Charles Beaton Christenson on July 28. As a .result of this he was fined £5 (costs 10/-) by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Whakatalie Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
