'• ______ _ PIPE BAND BROADCASTS Sir,—Could you please allow me space in your valuable paper to express my opinion on the pipe band re-union''--at Tauranga. As one who is very interested in highland activities and pipe bands, it was with great pride and pleasure that I listened to the broadcast of the pipe bands on Sunday morning from our station IYZ Rotorua. The mass bands were very good and each individual band was all one could desire. Even our own local Caledonian _ .Society’s band, as it is with new players, was a credit to the youth of the Whakatane district. I hope in future to be lucky enough to hear more bagpipe music from our wonderful station at Rotorua. Yours etc., STANDFAST.
