NOVEL COMPETITION TO END SEASON A novel competition has been planned for the last indoor shoot' for this season of the Whakatane Miniature Rifle Club to be held on November 17. All members wishing to enter are to take a trophy valued at 2/- and at the end of the evening on a strict handicap basis, the highest scorer will be able to make his choice of all the trophies, and so down until all who entered have received their prizes. 1 An unsuccessful challenge for the Club Silver Buttons was made at last week’s shoot by a team captained'l by Mrs J. Critchley, but'W. Tyssen’s team, the holders, proved too strong. A handicap shoot for a silver teaspoon was won by W. Addison while R. Bell won the Pennant. An own start sweepstake'went to J. Jordan.
