SPORT COMMENCES IN BAY TOMORROW Rowing will again swirfg into ac-" tion in the Bay of Plenty tomorrow with the official opening of the new season of the Whakatane Rowing Club. Trial four races with composite crews made up of home members and visitors from the Tau—ranga Club will be held over a half mile course, all by the club shed. / j
Rowing Club officials anticipate a heavy year this season for racing crews and expect some success at the Hamliton Regatta earl# next year and at the Empire Games at Lake Karapiro in February. Whakatane will attend the first regatta at Tauranga on November 12 when the Tauranga Club will officially open its season. Tomorrow the opening ceremony will be held in the afternoon!*
