Presbyterian Girls’ Garden Party

Bright sunshine contributed to the success of the garden party organised by the Presbyterian Girls’ Auxiliary at Taneatua and held in the church grounds. Very well stocked stalls laden with cakes, jams, sewing, etc. did brisk business, and the games were well patronised. Some lovely babies were featured in the baby show and thanks were extended to Miss Neilson who judged them. Up to 6 months, Baby Greenslade 1, Baby Oliver 2. Six months to one year, Baby Wano 1, the Dunstan twins 2. One year to two years. Baby Anderson 1, Baby Thompson 2. Competitions: Nail driving, David Hill. Penny competition, Mrs Attwood and Karen Santon, equal. Treasure hunt, Miss I. Newdick.
