WEDDING

JENSEN—GREY

Recently an attractive wedding was solemnised at St John’s Methodist Church, Whakatane, between Thelma Jean, only daughter of Mrs M. Grey, Whakatane, and Maurice Christain Francis, eldest son of Mr and the late Mrs N. C. Jensen, of Edgecumbe. The officiating minister was Rev F. J. Climo, Opotiki. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of an old family friend. Mr C. W. Clark, Opotiki, looked charming in a princess style frock of satin beaute and lace with a full train. A full length tulle veil' was worn with a coronet of orange blossom. The bride’s bouquet was of white roses, lily of the valley and stock.

The bridesmaids, Miss Margaret Dines, Whakatane, and Miss Shirley Jensen, youngest sister of the bridegroom, wore eggshell blue figured morocain with pink feathered head dress and carried pink bouquets of roseS and stock. Mr Jens Jensen, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr Kevin Dines was groomsman.

During the signing of the register, Miss Shirley Jensen sang “I’H Walk Beside You.”

At the reception in the Caledonian Hall. Mrs Grey wearing a dress of ensign blue and wine trimmings with matching hat. and an off white coat, • received her guests assisted by Mrs J. Peterson, sister of the bridegroom. For travelling the bride chose a teal blue frock and coat and white accessories. Mr and Mrs Jensen will make their future home at Edgecumbe.
