Sir, —Why does Whakatane enjoy
the unenviable reutation of being one of the. dearest localities in which to contemplate building? In Christchurch which is situated further from the source of timber supply, the ruling price is 38/per square foot whilst here it is anything up to 48/- per square foot. Again, why?
