Board Appreciates Women’s Assistance
Appreciation of the assistance being given the hospital by the various women’s organisations throughout the Whakatane County was exrressed by members at the monthly meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board. It was pointed out that .this assistance was purely voluntary and helped immensely in the smooth running of the hospital. The meeting acknowledged the following gifts that were made to the hospital during the past month: Magazines, Mesdames Grose, Steer, Booth, Huish, Combes, Misses D. Whiteside and Schmelz, Messrs Rundall and C. S. Armstrong, Whakatane Red Cross,' Anonymous; flowers, Mrs Seebeck, Anonymous, Ohope Presbyterian Sunday School; lemons, Ex-patient; wheel chair, Mr Emery.
