Full High School Status Next Year
As from February 1 next the Whakatane District High School will be replaced by two schools, a primary school and a High School. Applications for the headmastership of the new postprimary school are being called, it is understood, and the School Committee has been asked to suggest a name for approval. The new school will start at Form 111, and the primary school will. carry on up to Standard VI. It is reliibly reported that the education authorities are negotiating for a piece of land for a new school building site.
