WHAKATANE CLUB OPENS SEASON There was a large crowd of members and visitors from their clubs at the official opening of the Whakatane Tennis Club on Saturday. Conditions were ideal and as was to be expected for so early in the season the grass courts were still rather slow. Competition games were played and further matches were played on Sunday and Monday.
