TANEATUA LOSE TO P. AND T. In their first cricket game of the season, a non-competition match, P. and T. defeated Taneatua at Taneatua on Sunday by 43 runs. Played in ideal conditions the game produced some good cricket for early in the season.

Batting first, Taneatua (Green 60, Baikie 13; Malaquin 3 for 11, Paton 3 for 19, J. D. Rivett 3 for 14). In their innings P. and T. made 147 (Paton 64, Malaquin 26, D. McKenzie 27; (McGougan 3 for 43, McCready 2 for 4).
