LEARN TO ROY/ WEEK* STARTS TOMORROW

Rowing at the Whakatane Club is now well under way t and crews have been on the water for some time now. The annual learn to row week commences tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. when the novices and new members will be put through their traces and shown the rudiments of the sport. From present indications it appears that the Club will have a very successful season and there seems to be a good number of new members. All members are preparing for opening day, which has been fixed for November 5. Trial fours will be held then with mixed crews from the Tauranga Club, who have been invited to make their annual visit on that day.
