WYLDS WINS SENIOR YOUTH CHAMPION ESH IP

The senior youth championship of the Whakatane Golf Club was won this year by I. O. Wylds, who defeated L. D. Luxton in the final. The intermediate went to P. J. Bradshaw after he had disposed of R. B. Mollgaard and P. Campbell won the junior following his defeat of J. Stone. Throughout the championships Wylds played particularly good golf and in his match with Luxton returned par figures for 27 holes, with the result that his handicap has now been reduced to two. The Veterans and Colts trophies were won by L. W. Luxton and B. M. Alexander. An aggregate stableford competition played last Saturday was won by .Suckling and Bradshaw,' 64 points, Conway and Spence, 63 points, being runners-up. The competition for tomorrow is a stroke handicap, players to arrange their own partners. TE TEKO WOMEN’S DRAW The following is the final draw for the Captain’s and Secretary’s trophies to be played tomorrow by Te Teko women golfers:— Mrs Thomas v Mrs Caldwell, Mrs Goodwin v Mrs Hendl, Mrs Balfour v Mrs Moulden, Miss Murray v Mrs Burr, Mrs Cannell v Mrs Hall, Mrs Clarke v Mrs Nation, Mrs Linsell v another. j
