Many Guests Attend Murupara Party

Miss Isobel Aotearoa White was the guest of honour at a coming of age party held at her parents’ residence in Murupara, on Saturday night. Wearing a gown of powder blue taffeta, embroidered with sequins, Miss White was assisted in receiving her guests by Miss H. Callaghan, who was attired in a white suit, with an embroidered neckline and pockets. About 120 guests were present, many of them from outlying districts. After the toast and several brief speeches, Miss White, assisted by her father, cut the double-deck birthday cake.

Mr H: T. Bird was the toastmaster.
