WOMEN’S CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

Finals of the Whakatane women’s golf club championships were played on Wednesday under beautiful conditions with the following results:—

Senior, Mrs G. Tippett beat Mrs J. B. Thomas 7 and 6; intermediate, Mrs D. Neilson beat Mrs G. Otley at the 28th; junior, Mrs J. Stewart beat Mrs Rivett 5 and 4. GAMES AT TE TEKO ON SUNDAY A medal round of the Te Teko Men’s Golf Club is to be played on Sunday for the Joyce Hayter Cup, and the final of the championships. The draw:— L. Hall v Glen, Ranson v Whiteley, Sanders v Cook, Caldwell v Burr, Mcßride v Watson, Craddock v M .Hall, Goodwin v Latimer, Johnston v Balfour, Housham v Clark, Jamieson v Nation, Lyons v Gardener, Smith v Haultain, Hendl v Mac-ken, Patterson v Hegh, Thomas v Knight.

This is the last competition before closing day, which will be on Sunday, October 16.

TE TEKO WOMEN’S DRAW FOR TOMORROW Te Teko women golfers will play the seventh round of the Te Teko Trophy tomorrow.
