Work Of Local Bodies Appreciated
Appreciation for the work done by the Whakatane Borough and County Councils and the Federated Farmers in presenting the evidence to the Licensing Commission at its sitting at Rotorua of the need for more hotels and a wholesale license at Whakatane was expressed by several members at Wednesday night’s meeting of the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce. It was decided to send a letter of thanks for the work the three bodies had done and the fine manner in which the evidence was presented.
