Galvanised Piping In Short Supply

Quantities of galvanised piping in the Bay of Plenty are now in very short supply and unless something is done soon farmers are going to have a very serious time if the coming summer happens to be a dry one, according to the provincial secretary of Bay of Plenty Federated Farmers, Mr E. J. Vosper. Many farmers have been waiting since as far back as 1946 and at present the firms that handle supplies for the Bay hold out no immediate prospects of relief. The shortage also extends to other parts of the country. It had been increased by the recent strike in Australia.
