He says that during the last year remarkably few cases of this form of youthful self-expression have been reported. The Education Department >and many schools have co-operated and have been largely responsible for discouraging the vandalism. Usipg a film especially prepared by the Post and Telegraph Department, they have been able to impress on the children the far-reaching effects and public inconvenience which can be caused by using telegraph cups as targets for stone throwing and airgun practice. “This co-operation has resulted in a definite reduction in the number broken during the last few years.'’ the engineer says.
