MANY ATTRACTIVE SPRING FLOWERS IN TANEATUA SHOW

There was a fine display of spring flowers when the Taneatua Women’s Institute gardening circle i held their spring show. Guests were entertained with sketches by mem-' bers of the drama circle and competitions while Mrs J£ing and Mrs Cranswick, of Waimana, judged the blooms.

Competitions were won by Mrs Sisam and Mrs Merrie. Winners of the various classes were: —

Pansies: Mrs P. Anderson 1,2, and 3. Freesias: Mrs Bennett 1, Mrs Lawn 2, Mrs A. Tebbutt 3. Calendulas: Mrs Merrie 1. Polyanthus: Mrs Oliver 1 and 2, Mrs Hayward 3. Head of Stock: Mrs A. Tebbutt 1 and 2, Mrs Anderson 3. Head of Wallflower: Mrs K. Tebbutt 1, Mrs Lawn 2, Mrs Reeve 3. Poppies: Mrs K. Tebbutt 1, Mrs Hayward 2, Mrs Fitchett 3. Mrs Hayward was the winner of the points prize.
