Material Reflects Light Strongly
With a view to defeating darkness, a special reflecting material, known as scotehlite, is now coming into fairly general use in the U.S.A. It consists of thousands of minute glass particles bonded to a flexible base. The material is not luminous in the normal sense, but has the property of reflecting light 150 times more strongly than white paint. It can be applied as sewn sheeting or fixed on smooth surfaces with a special adhesive. It can be finished in any colour and can be printed with wood grain pattern, etc., for the body panels of station wagons, business vans, and so forth.
