A Dominion-wide “Girl Guide Week” starts on Octobed 2 with Church parades in all districts, including this one, and concludes the following Saturday,' October 8 with campfire gatherings. The campfire for this district will probably be held 'between Whakatane and Taneatua.

During the week, the national “good turn” will be the despatch of friendship parcels for the Rewi Alley schools in China. Local good turns will be arranged by. local committees, and one afternoon friends and supporters will be invited to meet the Guides and see some of their work.
