Basketball

BUSINESSMEN TO PLAY' Although competition basketball has finished at Whakatane there will still be yet two more games at the high school courts on Saturday between business men’s teams and the Olympics and Redwings Clubs. Both the Redwings and the Olympics teams are very strong, Redwings won the B grade competition at last Saturday’s knockout tournament and Olympics were successful in the A grade. Both know their basketball. But the same cannot be said for the businessmen’s teams at present.. Their capabilities are as yet unknown and even the selected players are a mystery. There will be two games, the, first commencing at 1.30 p.m.. and the public are being invited to see both matches.
