Research Station For East Coast?
The Government will be asked to establish an animal and pasture research station on the East Coast of the North Island, it w r as decided at a meeting of the council of the Meat and Wool Section of Federated Farmers. There were particular problems which concerned hillcountry farmers in the area, such as facial excema in sheep, it was stated, and there was room for at least a small research establishment. If a station were set up on the East Coast nearly all high-country farmers in New Zealand would benefit.
