CENTRAL BAY LOSES AARD CUP T\Vo determined challenges from Central Matatua (Ruatoki) for the Aard and Ellison Cups were met by Central Bay of Plenty in representative hockey matches at Edgecumbe on Saturday resulting in Central Bay women’s team losing the Aard Cup and the men retaining the Ellison Cup by a draw. The women’s game was hard and fast but Central Matatua had more peneration in their backs and they scored the only goal. In the men’s game both teams were very even and score of a goal each was a fair indication of their relative merits.
