Good Yarding- At Spring Cattle Fair

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report having held their Spring Station Cattle Fair on Tuesday at the Whakatane Saleyards.

A good yarding of cattle auctioned to a large and representative bench of local and outside buyers. Cattle came forward in good order and competition was keen throughout with prices realised well in accordance with those prevailing in outside centres. Realisations: —•

Fat bullocks £l6 2s 6d to £l9 15; fat cows £l2 10s to £l7; 2 year steers £l2 10s to £lB 17s 6d; 2 year heifers £lO 10s to £l3' 15s; yearling steers £7 2s to £ll 3s; yearling heifers £5 7s 6d to £8 2s; Jersey steers (backward) £5 to £6; Jersey heifers £6 11s to £lO 12s.
