RAN GIT AIKI CLUB TO START AGAIN The work of prepariag the butts and overhead cover in the markers’ gallery has now been passed by the army and shooting is expected to commence shortly, it was stated at the annual meeting of the Rangitaiki Defence Rifle Club at Thornton. The club has been out of action for some months so it was decided to hold the annual meeting earlier than usual to give the club a chance to get on its feet again for the new season. Many of the members are farmers and find it hard to spare any time during the summer but 1 it is considered that with a larger membership the club should be able to keep going. An appeal has been made for more young members and anyone else who is interested to join. The subscription is to remain at £1 and ajd the club’s equipment is to be insured from fire, Officers elected:— Patron, Mir I. B. Gow; president, Mr R. Burgess; secretary, Mr W.
