HALL CROWDED WITH DANCERS AT WAIMANA BALL
For the Memorial Ball at Waimana on Thursday night, the hall was absolutely crowded with dancers from far and near, who tripped merry measures to the excellent music of Harrison’s orchestra. Mr W. M. King made an efficient M.C. Full beauty of the multi-styled evening gowns was seen in the grand march, led by Mr and Mrs King. Hall and stage presented an attractive picture decorated with nikau palms, ferns and flowers. Supper extras were played by sevreal members of the Opotiki Pipe Band, and proved most popular. Confetti and streamer dances added to the general gaiety. Committee and helpers deserve full credit for having staged a firstclass entertainment, the supper particularly being something to remember, featuring fruit salad, poultry and a variety of savouries.
