Adventist Congress Of Australasian Youth To Be Held
Plans have been announced for the attendance of the New Zealand delegation to the Australasian' Adventist Youth Congress to be held at Avondale, New South Wales, from December 28, 1949 to January 1, 1950. It is the greatest gathering of Adventist youth ever to be held ir. the southern hemisphere, and is for the purpose of stimulating faith amongst the Adventist youth and discussing plans for helping unconverted youth to accept the principles of Christianity.
The Young People’s Society of the Seventh-day Adventist church is for jioung men and women from 16 to 30 years, and each Society is responsible for the election and financing of its representatives. It is expected that over 1,000 youth and youth leaders will attend the congress. Native members from Adventist churches throughout the islands of the south Pacific will also be in attendance. Youth Secretaries of all states of Australia, North and South Islands of New Zealand, and all Pacific Island Conferences of Seventh-day Adventists will also attend.
