Teams Gathering Members of the Bay of Plenty senior rugby team to play Australia*
at Whakatane tomorrow are to gather at Whakatane today and. will probably have a run together later oh this afternoon. The junior. Bay >of Plenty team and the Poverty Bay junior team will also gather in the town today. These two teams are to play- as a curtain raiser to the main game. All three teams are staying at the Whakatane Hotel. (
Two Sets Of Twin Calves ' Two of the first, three cpws te> calve on the farm of Mr A. !Etobb, Thornton, this year calved twins. All calves were born, normal and in a healthy condition and are now growing extremely well. • The first cow had two heifer calves and the third cow had one heifer and one bull calf. Mr Robb has only been farming. at Thornton for about seevn years but this is the first time that he has had any experience with twin calves. AH Blacks At Whakatane Arrangements have been made by the picture theatre authorities* at Whakatane to show films of the All Blacks in South Africa playing against Natal, Western Province and the first test to at Whakatane from September 16. All three films will be shown together and will last for about 30 minutes. From early reports it is believed tha-t the films are of the same standard of the recent one screened showing the All Blacks playing their first game agairist Western Province Universities.
