Quest Being Held For Whakatane Local Talent

In a quest for local talent at Whakatane officers of the Bay of Plenty station IYZ are to be at Whakatane next Saturday morning to carry out auditions. Those who are successful in their auditions will be later given the opportunity of broadcasting in a special programme of “Whakatane presents.” Arrangements for the audition tests are now being made and anyone interested can make an appointment for Saturday morning by ringing either 119 M or 175. The tests will be held in the Parish Hall commencing at 10.30 a.m. Later in the afternoon the broadcasting officials will relay the rugby •match from Whakatane Field through IYZ.
