WEDDING
SHARP—DAWSON
Recently the Vicar of Whakatane, Rev J. C. J. Wilson, officiated at a pretty wedding in St George’s Church, Whakatane, between Mary, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Dawson, Te Teko, and Selwyn, younger son of Mr and Mrs Sharp, Onehunga. j Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a beautiful gown of embossed marquisette, a tulle veil being held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Amy Dawson (the bride’s cousin) was. charmingly gowned in blue marquisette with a silk lace yoke, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Mr Garth Butler attended ' the bridegroom as best man. Following a sumptuous wedding breakfast at the Parish Hall,- the guests went to the newly-weds’ future home on Hillcrest where an impressive array of presents was on view. f Later the honeymooners left by car, amid good wishes for their happy future.
