Red Cross Parcels Sent To England

The appreciation of the English people for the efforts of the New Zealand Red Cross in sending food parcels to the United Kingdom is shown in letters received at Whakatane. Coming from residents who receive the parcels through the British Red Cross, they are genuine and between the lines one can read what is difficult to express in words. Many of the parcels were sent by the Eastern Bay of Plenty Centre of the Red Cross from Whakatane and most of them have been distributed to needy cases.
