Sun Turns Cylinder Into Torpedo
The heat of the sun turned a 601 b cylinder of carbon dioxide into a jet propelled torpedo at Kingston (Surrey). The cylinder was lying in an engineering company’s yard when the heat loosened the valve. The escaping gas drove the cylinder out into the road, where it hit two motor vehicles and damaged a shop front.
