Although competing strongly in the annual tournament of the Whakatane Indoor Basketball Association at Whgkatane on Saturday Whakatane t£isj|g: were no match for the top teams%%om Tauranga, Wairoa and Gisborne: The men’s final resulted in a win for Gisborne over Tauranga and the women’s final went to Wairoa A who narrowly defeated Tauranga.
