WHAKATANE DEFEATS OPOTIKI The President’s versus Captain’s match played on Saturday was won by the Captain’s team by nine matches to seven. A Bogey competition played in conjunction was won by Cutfield, 2 up, Blake, all square, being runner-up. On Sunday the Club played ’ a visiting team from Opotiki, the home team winning by 13 matches to eight with three all square. Next Saturday a Fourball Stroke Handicap will be held, the winners of which will be decided on the best nett aggregate scores returned. Players are to arrange their own partners for this event.
