Swimming Centre Meets At Whakatane
As a boost to the Whakatane club the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Amateur Swimming Association was held at Whakatane last week and was attended by delegates from Tau.ranga, Rotorua, Te Puke and Whakatane. It was decided to hold next year’s junior and intermediate championships at Te Puke and the senior titles at Rotorua. Officers elected:—
Patron, Mr J. Crawford, Tauranga; president, Mr Musgrave, Rotorua; secretary, Mr Lindsay, Rotorua; treasurer, Mr Garlick, Rotorua; auditor, Mr T. Burnett, Rotorua; handicappers, Messrs Brother and Nishett; starter, Mr J. Sinclair; education officer, Mr Lindsay; delegates to New Zealand Council, Messrs Crawford and Lindsay; resident delegate, Mr J. Toomey, Christchurch.
