Launch Sheltering Off Whale Island
Believed to be sheltering off Whale Island from the heavy seas which have been running in the Bay of Plenty in the last few days the fishing launch Toi. with four men aboard, is now reported to be well overdue. The craft put out from Opotiki at 6 a.m. on Saturday on a one night fishing expedition. The launch is owned by Mr Noel Gwilliam, of Opotiki, who has with him Messrs Henry Peawini, Kenneth Henry Nicholls and Neil Webb, ail of Opotiki.
