MISSING PLANTS
Sir, —Ice plants in your paper of August 5 enquires when will ice plants be forthcoming to grow on rockes above the town. I take pleasure in advising him that they have just arrived in Whakatane, having been unprocurable until now. On behalf of the Whakatane Beautifying Society I take pleasure in extending a cordial invitation to Ice Plant to report- at Rock next Saturday at 9 a.m. sharp with spade in order to give a hand in planting them. Also he can further pull his weight by joining the Whakatane Beautifying Society and paying an annual subscription of ss. Trees and plants cannot be obtained without money and his sub. will be helpful. Come on now Mr Ice Plant —what about it? Yours etc., A WORKING BEE.
