Galatea Settlers ' Dance A Success

The Galatea Settlers’ dance held in the Galatea school room proved to be one of the social events of the year and was attended by a very large crowd. Gaily decorated with multi-coloured streamers, which were let down for a streamer dance, the hall looked its best and added much to the success of the evening. Among the many novelty dances, an exciting event was the Bottle Derby, which caused much amusement. Music was supplied by Messrs E. Hill and P. Rossiter. Mrs Walsh played extras.
