Galatea Dance Was Huge Success

A large crowd attended the Galatea Rugby Sub-Union’s dance in the Rangitahi Hall, which was an outstanding success. Held to raise funds for a visit of the Galatea representative rugby team to Apanui the final result was satisfactory. 'Mr M. Bird acted as M.C. and arranged impromptu items between dances. These included solos, duets, action songs and poi dances. Competitions were won by Miss Hazel King, Murupara, and Mr Rira, Papueru.

Music was played by Kani Rangi’s band.
