Edgecumbe School To Have Acquarium For Nature Study
Plans to purchase an acquarium for use by pupils and teachers in nature study work were finalised at the annual meeting of the Edgecumbe Parent-Teacher Association last week. Included in the new purchase for the school is a gramophone fitted with an amplifier. '
Appreciation for the work the Association had done for the school and the assistance given the teaching staff was voiced by the headmaster, Mr Pattison. He mentioned the equipment which had been presented to the school and the work that had been done in bringing about a closer understanding between_ the parents and teachers. During the meeting several educational films were screened on the school projector. Officers elected:—
President, Mr McCorquindale; vice-president, Mr H. Quayle; secretary treasurer, Mrs M. I. Davies; parents ... committee, Mr Nicholls, Mesdames Pearse, Spiers, Colebrook, Parsons.
